Jesus reveals himself as the true king but also a good king who will go to the cross. He says if you want to follow me you have to go to the cross too. Jesus asks us to die to our self and to find our identity in Jesus not in our own performance.
In this series we look Jesus in the Gospel of Mark. What we find is that he is wild and unpredictable. Jesus didn’t fit the people’s preconceived notions of what God’s promised rescuer would be like and he doesn’t fit neatly in any of our boxes as well. He’s untamable, a little unsafe, but good.
