Jesus ends religion and replaces it with himself. He is the Lord of the Sabbath, the Rest of God himself.  From religion’s viewpoint obedience is drudgery and burdensome.  But from the Gospel, since Jesus is our Rest, we work out of a place of rest.

In this series we look Jesus in the Gospel of Mark.  What we find is that he is wild and unpredictable.  Jesus didn’t fit the people’s preconceived notions of what God’s promised rescuer would be like and he doesn’t fit neatly in any of our boxes as well.  He’s untamable, a little unsafe, but good.  Listen to this series and discover the wild love of Jesus and the story of our world and your life. This series is based off of Tim Keller’s book, King’s Cross and draws on various other resources as well.
